Business Development Manager - Consumer-Security

Our client is a world-leading Developer of video/CCTV & IoT-focused security solutions and systems, who support various different vertical-markets for City operations, Corporate facilities-management, and of course the Private and  Consumer-Security market. 
  
Having their origins in China, as well as a strong presence throughout the rest of APAC, North America and Europe the company continues to grow and are the leaders in various technologies for machine vision, video conferencing systems, professional drones, electronic license plates, RFID, and robotics etc.
  
Due to the need for growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager, or Channel Sales Manager, who will sell their innovative product line through the retail, or Consumer Channel, looking to upscale existing business relationships and source new ones across the BeNeLux region.

With the client's HQ in the Zoetermeer area, this role requires the successful candidate to travel extensively across the region to visit reseller partners, up-sell new product-lines, provide product demonstrations, as well as pitch new partners and negotiate new agreements. The role will require extensive travel across the region and you will be required to report to office HQ to be part of sales development and team-meetings.

Skills you'll need...
  • Ideally you will be Educated to Degree level - Bachelors/HBO etc; 
  • It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years' selling IT hardware or Consumer Electronics across the BeNeLux Region; 
  • This experience must also be indirect or Channel sales, selling to B2C resellers of all sizes; 
  • You must be an energetic Business development professional, combining a mixture of 'hunting' sales skills, with solid account-management skills; 
  • - A strong network amongst the B2C reseller channel would also be preferred;
  • You will be a natural deal-closer, with a strong commercial mindset, able to upscale existing service-relationships; 
  •  You must have a lot of energy and comfortable with regional-travel, over 50% of the time;
  • A prior sales or working-knowledge of security solutions (CCTV, Portable etc) would be advantageous, however not necessary;
  • You must also be a solid team-player, willing to contribute positively to a dynamic working environment.
  • As standard you will be Fluent in both Dutch and English (french would also be useful, but not essential);
  • You must be willing to travel to the Client's office, sometimes once per week for sales 'kick-off' meetings/ reporting etc.
