The Company:

My client is a global leader in ERP software, mobile applications and vehicle technology solutions for the recycling and waste management industry. A unique opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to build their Route Optimisation and Transport Planning business in Germany.Their product is a specially-developed cloud program that can be implemented by Waste-management companies. I am looking for an experienced, driven Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager to develop software solutions sales in this high growth sector. This role will involve significant travel across Germany

You will be responsible for:

-Achieving sales targets
-Sales pipeline development and maintaining updates using CRM tool
-Business Development, Client Acquisition, Account Management, Sales
-Defining high level solution/project and service requirements
-Sales meetings and presentations to prospective customers
-Producing high quality sales proposals and response to RFPs
-Identifying value and return on investment
-Input to lead generation and marketing activities


-Degree in business or IT related discipline
-At least 7 years Sales experience of advanced IT applications
-Demonstrable track record in value-based solution sales and closing capabilities at c-level
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Fluent / Native level German language skills essential
-Demonstrable understanding of account selling, account management and support strategies
-Ability to demonstrate the business benefits of a technical solution
-Understanding of complex logistics operations and how software solutions will deliver a high return on investment is a distinct advantage
-Highly motivated, self-starter, who can maintain productive sales activity without being prompted to carry out tasks
-Ambitious, energetic and structured. Hunter mentality is essential
-Persistent, independent and able to handle long sales processes
-C-level negotiation and engagement
-Able to build and maintain networks of people and foster strong relationships with clients
