Our client has its European HQ in the Utrecht area and is looking for a new Business Development Manager, who will sell a specific section of their Product range - in this case Cisco Security Infrastructure products - to channel clients like Value-Added Resellers, IT Consultancies etc.

You will be responsible for putting together a solid business plan, outlining new prospects as well as ways to upscale service and solutions to existing clients and you will work with the rest of the sales team (account maangers/inside sales) to implement it.

Whilst the role will involve negotiation, pipeline management and closing deals, this will be a technical sales role, where you will deliver technical presentations and pitches, keep clients up to date with product information and developments and look for ways to guarantee a good customer service.

As required, this role will see you out on the road quite a lot, across the Netherlands, meeting with prospects, attending trade fairs and looking to expand your network - probably 75% to 80% of the role - otherwise you will be based in the Office, working with management and sales colleagues.

Skills you'll need...

- Ideally you will be educated to Degree Level - HBO / Bachelors;

- It is essential you have a minimum of 4 years B2B Sales experience preferably in an IT technical industry;

- Preferably you will have sold IT infrastructure solutions for hardware, software or in particular Cyber-Security products;

- Knowledge of the CISCO range of IT products - hardware and software - would be advantageous;

- You have the 'hunter' mentality and are a natural sales professional, but can also deliver solid, technical presentations;

- You can manage relationships with different stakeholders; external - resellers, managed-service providers, System-Integrators, IT consultancies, vendors; internal - Product managers, IT technical professionals, sales colleagues etc.

- You have an open attitude to learning and development and get to know a complex group of products!

- Native in Dutch and also fluent in English - written and oral;
