What you'll do...

Denovo is working in partnership with one of the world's leaders in Certification, inspection and validation of major Assets in Marine, Offshore & Onshore Facilities, Renewables for example, to recruit a highl-specialised role.

Due to the clients success in the Defence industry, they are looking for a talented Sales & business development professional, with a strong background in the Navy, or having worked on Navy contracts or projects to join their Northern Europe Sales team.

Your role will have a dual focus; first of all, as a Senior member of the team, due to your knowledge, you will support the individual Account Managers in the various office around Northern Europe - Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany - who are in the process of prospecting, acquiring, closing contracts with the Navies of those countries. You will be responsible for coaching them, providing guidance where necessary and attending various presentations.

Secondly, your other focus will be to manage the accounts of both the Dutch & Belgian Navies, as they are in the process of building new Vessels and projects. You will be a key interface between the organisation and the Naval forces, looking at ways to upscale the clients'services and meet revenue targets. The role will require you to travel often around Northern Europe, covering an area of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium & the Netherlands.

Skills you'll need..

- Educated to degree level - Bachelors or Masters would be beneficial;

- You must have previous working experience, as a Naval officer, or as a civilian, working with the navy in a commercial sales capacity, in the Netherlands or Belgium;

- A strong working knowledge of Navy fleets in these countries, understanding the development of fleets;

- You must have a knowledge of quality assurance and inspection of newly-developed Navy vessels, or those presently under construction;

- You are a sales-driven, commercially-minded professional, motivated to close deals and generate results;

- An excellent relationship-manager - able to work with very complex organisations - in this case the Navy - and help them define and satisfy requirements;

- You are a natural leader - able to guide and coach indirectly, a team of motivated sales people in different countries across europe.

- Willing to travel regularly, both locally and internationally.

- fluent in both Dutch and english.
