My client is capitalizing on the growing market for providing reliable connectivity in the Transportation industry. Their "Connectivity in Motion" solution enables a higher level of customizable services which can be deployed to enhance safety, grow ridership, improve passenger satisfaction, increase operational efficiency, and seamlessly interconnect IoT applications in the Smart World.

They have an immediate opening for a Business Development Executive in EMEA. Responsibilities include defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The role will include approximately 40% travel to various EU countries and occasionally into the USA.

What you'll do ……

  • Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities.
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients and implementing targeted sales strategies, both short and long-term.
  • Creating informative presentations; Presenting and delivering information to potential clients. at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Coordinating lead-generation activities and maintaining an updated database of prospect clients.
  • Responding to client requests and enquiries for proposals (RFPs)
  • Maintaining database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.
  • Researching potential leads from web searches, digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Closing sales and working with client through closing process.
  • Traveling both locally and internationally, as the role dictates;

Do you have what it takes….

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in business administration, finance, marketing or relevant field with technical fluency.
  • 2-5 years of experience selling complex solutions in rail/busing industry.
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management, as well as proven success in hitting annual sales targets.
  • Fluent in Dutch/English. Other languages are beneficial.
  • Comfortable making cold. technical sales calls and talking to new prospects every day.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanour and are eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives.
  • Able to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
