My client is a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions. It serves as a supply channel partner for more than 150,000 original equipment manufacturers, value-added resellers, contract manufacturers, and commercial customers through a global network. The company maintains over 300 sales facilities and 45 distribution and value-added centers, serving over 80 countries.

A Fortune 500 company with 18,800 employees worldwide, the company brings technology solutions to a breadth of markets, including telecommunications, information systems, transportation, medical, industrial and consumer electronics.

The Role:

The company is looking for an experienced Sales professional who will join them as Key Account Manager, selling integrated Electronic Component solutions, along with value-added services to End-Users or ressellers/System-Integrators through the channel across the Benelux region.

The components in questions can be a multitude of products including sensors, memory, PC cards, Motherboards and embedded components, whilst the value-added solutions are usually in line with developing full enterprise-computing solutions.

You will be responsible for building and maintain a massive existing portfolio of clients across Benelux area, to supply them with top-quality components. You will work with client relationship management, inside sales, business development, identifying new clients and Sales opportunities. You need to be a real "hunter", willing to travel around the country on a daily basis to sign up and close business and have a lot of energy.

o Ideally you will be educated to Bachelors/HBO level but this is not essential

o It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrable, successful sales experience in the B2B Electronic Components industry - this can be with a Manufacturer/OEM, Distributor or reseller

o A knowledge of active, passive and embedded components is advantageous

o You must have a large network as a result of this experience and be able to leverage it, to sign off new business relationships and keep up to date with market developments

o A passion and interest in technology, particularly surrounding IT

o You have a lot of energy, are a 'self-starter' and have the skills to acquire/generate new customers and close off the business

o You must also be an excellent account manager and have excellent relationship-management skills

  • Fluent in Dutch and in English
  • You work well within a small, energetic team but can also travel extensively nationally
  • You must be based in the Netherlands - applications for outside of the Netherlands will not be considered
